Earlier Chennai seemed to me the land of idli, sambar and uttapam! In fact every south city had the same definition for me, till I got transferred to the South. Chennai beckoned me for exploring the lesser known aspects of it. I prepared myself to move to the city. But I didn’t have anyone known to me. Till some colleagues helped me in looking for a rent apartment, I had to stay in the hotels.

1. Executive Comforts: I stayed here! It is one of the recent professional networks of budget hotels in Chennai. It had the best appeal so I decided to stay here. I stayed at Saidapet as it was near to the airport. I also preferred this place for being near to the second largest commercial centre of the city Guindy.
2. Hotel Sornam International: Luxury and economy prices seemed to have merged here. Situated within the centre of the city and at a walkable distance from the Chennai Central Railway Station, this place is suitable for the train travelers.
3. Samudra Inn: Situated 10kms away from T.Nagar, Samudra Inn is preferred by many people for its affordable room charges. Staying here you can visit key destination centers like St. George, Kodambakkam, US consulate, Marina Beach and Thousand Lights.
4. Mallika Residency: This is a 2 star hotel at Chintadripet, Anna Salai. It is situated close to the Chennai Central Railway Station and offers AC, Deluxe and Regular rooms. Conference rooms and banquet halls are also available for business and social meets.
